Tumble: "Why do Colors Exist?" [REVIEW]

Tumble is a science podcast hosted by couple Lindsay Patterson and Marshall Escamilla. Each episode of the podcast is based on a question submitted by a student, who reads out the question at the beginning of the podcast. This episode's featured question was "Why do colors exist?" They provided a short answer and then a longer elaboration to the posing question. I this episode, they brought in an expert, neuroscientist and artist Bevil Conway, to explain to them (and the student of course) what color is exactly and why different organisms or people see colors differently. Gaining insight on a subject from an entirely new perspective and especially from an expert can make science relevant and interesting. I also enjoyed that they are breaking down definitions of complicated terms and difficult concepts to make it digestible for students. Overall, this is a great podcast to show or assign to students during a lecture on the visual system.
